In a small research centre like ours, we realise every day that the pace at which we are completing research lags far behind the need for knowledge that can be applied, either directly to practice, or at the very least taken up in serious conversations about what is workable. Our findings ‘find’ the road to policy and uptake very hard, perhaps because the divide in the realm of South African educational research is deep. There are many crevices. We will explore some of these in blogs in the future.
